Challenges

The primary challenge was to maintain control over uplight and glare, as the wide distribution of light intensities at elevated angles significantly impacts these parameters  

Solution

The solution to effectively manage uplight involved concentrating additional luminous flux downward within the luminaire. Even this approach increased illumination in that area while ensuring that the uniformity values specified in RP-8, the recommended values for BUG, were not exceeded
