T2-8 Optics Visual Comfort
The development of this optical system was aimed to achieve a T2 distribution for enhacing the visual comfort
Features
- Low Discomfort Glare
- Controlled Backlight
- High luminous flux
Challenges
The challenge was to achieve an optimal balance in light distribution: reducing glare for improved visual comfort, without compromising backlight control.
Solution
With the challenge of managing the high luminous flux from an 8-optic array, the design prioritized a gradual intensities distribution. Between 30° and 60°, it was requiered to control the accumulation of flux by redirecting backlight to generate uniform luminance. Then, to mitigate glare and ensure visual comfort, intensities were progressively attenuated starting from 60°.
