T4-2X6 Wide

This lens was developed to produce a T4 wide distribution that ensures both illumination and uniformity across the front and lateral sides

Challenges

The primary challenge was to avoid a hot-spot and achieve uniformity and luminous flux directed toward the front while simultaneously broadening the distribution to the lateral sides   

Solution

The solution was an internal Total Internal Reflection system. This system recovered backlight flux from the lenses and redistributed it to the lateral sides, which ensured a broader and more uniform distribution. Meanwhile, the remaining portion of the lens was dedicated to directing light flux to the front, effectively meeting both distance and width requirements.
